Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 7:32 PM EDT) -- Mark Cuban’s celebrity status among Texas jurors and his performance on the witness stand could make or break a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission insider trading trial slated to begin Monday against the mercurial Dallas Mavericks owner, attorneys say.

Cuban faces allegations he dumped shares of in 2004 based on inside information from the search engine company’s CEO regarding an upcoming stock offering that was expected to disappoint investors. The closely watched trial, located in Dallas, is expected to last eight to 10 days....
