By Emily Atkin ( September 26, 2013, 8:44 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers further expanded its $7 billion renewable energy Multiple Award Task Order Contract Wednesday, awarding 11 potential multiple-vendor contracts that will enable the vendors to compete for future biomass power purchase agreement task orders. The vendors — which include Honeywell International Inc., Siemens Government Technologies Inc. and Acciona Energy North America Corp. — were picked from a competitive bidding process in which 52 bids were received, the Army said....
