Cengage Judge Taps Mediator To Resolve Ch. 11 Plan Issues

Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 4:45 PM EDT) -- The bankruptcy judge overseeing Cengage Learning Inc.’s Chapter 11 case on Wednesday appointed another judge to mediate disputes between the company and its creditors over the allocation of estate resources and the terms of a reorganization plan.

U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Elizabeth S. Stong issued an order appointing U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Robert D. Drain the mediator for the case. He will address issues such as the total enterprise value of the company, disputed copyrights, intercompany and intercreditor matters, and a 2007 leveraged buyout, among others.
