DOJ Meets With JPMorgan Amid Rumors Of Giant Settlement

Law360, New York (September 26, 2013, 4:13 PM EDT) -- U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Thursday that he had met with representatives of JPMorgan Chase & Co. amid reports that the bank is considering a multibillion-dollar settlement to resolve investigations into its sale of ill-fated mortgage-backed securities.

Holder, who was speaking at a press conference in Washington, D.C., did not say whether he spoke with JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon directly and declined to elaborate on the nature of the discussions.
