Disney's Attempt To Break "Pooh" Contract Rejected

Law360 (December 13, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Walt Disney Co., along with the heir to the “Winnie the Pooh” fortune, has been rebuffed by a federal appeals court in a copyright battle to oust the popular children's book’s current licensee.

The decision affirms a lower court’s ruling that invalidated Disney’s attempt to terminate its current contract with Stephen Slesinger Inc.
