Raytheon Wants $100M ATK Missile Suit Back In State Court

Law360, Miami (September 30, 2013, 4:26 PM EDT) -- Federal defense contractor Raytheon Co. urged an Arizona federal judge Friday to remand to state court its $100M suit accusing Alliant Techsystems Inc. of failing to deliver rocket motors that comply with an order's specifications, arguing that state laws govern subcontracts between private parties.

Attorneys for Raytheon argued that the suit, which was filed in state court but removed to federal court by ATK in August, involves only disputes over state-governed breach of contract and warranty claims, thus the complaint has no federal cause of action....
