Asia Hotel Investment Jumps To $3.9B For 2013, Report Says

Law360, New York (October 1, 2013, 1:59 PM EDT) -- Buoyed by confidence in the region's long-term prospects, investment in the Asian hotel market has skyrocketed about 145 percent from last year to $3.9 billion by the end of the third quarter, Jones Lang LaSalle said in a market report released Monday.

Transactions for just the last three months alone were up to $1.2 billion,  41 percent higher than 2012's third-quarter numbers, and the commercial real estate services firm said it knows of at least $1.3 billion more in deals under contract that are expected to...
