App Store Monopoly Claims Don't Add Up, Apple Says

Law360, San Francisco (October 1, 2013, 7:41 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. urged a California federal judge on Monday to dismiss an iPhone customer class action over the tech giant's alleged illegal monopoly of the iPhone aftermarket through its App Store, arguing the plaintiffs haven't proven their standing to sue Apple instead of the third-party developers.

U.S. District Court Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers dismissed the suit in August on the standing issue, but allowed the plaintiffs to take another crack at their allegations. They returned with an amended complaint in September, which claims they're suing Apple...
