3rd Circ. Ruling Imperils Consumer Class Actions, Group Says

Law360, New York (October 2, 2013, 3:16 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit should reconsider its recent decision to reverse the certification of a class of consumers accusing Bayer Corp. of falsely advertising vitamins, Public Citizen said Wednesday, arguing it threatens consumers' ability to hold companies accountable for deceptive marketing.

The public interest group submitted an amicus curiae brief with the appeals court in support of the plaintiffs' bid for a rehearing, filed on Friday.
