BP Stresses Safety, Caution At Close Of Oil Spill Defense

Facing allegations from spill victims and contractors Transocean Ltd. and Halliburton Co. that the oil giant moved too slowly and wasted precious time with attempts that were unlikely to succeed, BP argued that it moved as quickly and safely as practical to stop oil gushing from the damaged Macondo well into the Gulf of Mexico....
