Reporting For Duty: The Week In DOD Contract Awards

Law360, New York (October 3, 2013, 4:12 PM EDT) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. was the biggest winner this week, nabbing two U.S Navy contract modifications on Sept. 27 totaling $4.2 billion — $3.4 billion and $742 million, respectively. The contracts call for Lockheed to produce a cumulative of 40 F-35 Lightning II joint strike fighter aircrafts, which are single-seat, single-engine aircrafts, according to Lockheed.
