Crest False Ad Settlement Gets NJ Judge's Final Nod

Law360, New York (October 4, 2013, 1:46 PM EDT) -- A New Jersey judge on Thursday granted final approval to a deal shutting down a class action accusing Procter & Gamble Co. of misleading consumers into paying extra for Crest toothpaste that allegedly promised faster relief from tooth sensitivity than it could deliver.

U.S. District Judge Jose Linares turned aside a lone objector’s concerns and affirmed his February preliminary approval of a settlement that would provide refund class members with $4 for one tube of toothpaste each and send $700,000 to their attorneys.
