Law Firm Accused Of Role In $11M Facebook IPO Scam

Law360, New York (October 8, 2013, 7:06 PM EDT) -- Los Angeles law firm Miller Barondess LLP and one of its partners were hit with a lawsuit Friday accusing them of participating in a scheme to defraud investors out of $11.25 million as part of a bogus deal to purchase pre-initial public offering shares of Facebook Inc.

The suit, filed in California Superior Court in Los Angeles County, alleges that Miller Barondess and partner Erik Syverson aided and conspired with Troy Stratos to defraud the investors of ESG Capital Partners LP, a private investment company. The...
