Panasonic, Others Fight State Claims In CRT Antitrust Case

Law360, New York (October 8, 2013, 6:44 PM EDT) -- Panasonic Corp. and Toshiba Corp. and others asked a California federal judge on Monday to toss state law claims brought by Sharp Electronics Corp. and Tech Data Corp. in the antitrust multidistrict litigation accusing several electronics makers of fixing the price of cathode ray tubes.

In motions to dismiss, Panasonic claims that Sharp’s state law claims are time-barred, and Toshiba claims in a separate brief that their case brought by Sharp and Tech Data belongs in Osaka, Japan, pursuant to a prior agreement between the companies....
