SoHo Building's $115M Sale Never Finalized, Judge Rules

Law360, New York (October 8, 2013, 5:32 PM EDT) -- The owner of a mixed-use building in Manhattan's SoHo district never had a binding contract to sell it to Thor Equities LLC for $115 million, a New York state judge ruled Tuesday, removing any doubts about its later $123.3 million sale to an affiliate of SL Green Realty Corp.

Justice Jeffrey K. Oing said during a hearing that in the rapid back-and-forth negotiations in December 2012 between Thor and the building's then-owner, Willspring Holdings LLC, what Thor said was a modification to an established sale agreement...
