Natrol Faces False Ad Suit Over Joint-Health Supplement

Law360, New York (October 10, 2013, 1:19 PM EDT) -- Dietary supplement maker Natrol Inc. was hit Wednesday with a proposed class action accusing it of falsely advertising that its glucosamine and chondroitin products will help joint health when actually there is no scientific evidence to back up that claim.

Plaintiff Linda Dao alleges that through a nationwide advertising campaign, Natrol advertised that Natrol GC “helps rebuild cartilage tissue” and has “clinically tested ingredients to promote optimal joint flexibility, lubrication, mobility and comfort.”
