Day Of Reckoning Comes For U.K.'s NatWest Three

Law360, New York (February 22, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- Months after pleading guilty to wire fraud in connection with the Enron scandal, the infamous trio of British bankers known as the NatWest Three has reportedly been sentenced to 37 months apiece for their respective roles in the energy giant's implosion.

U.S. District Judge Ewing Werlein Jr. on Friday revealed sentences of three-plus years for David Bermingam, Giles Darby and Gary Mulgrew, opting to follow the recommendations put forth by federal prosecutors in determining a suitable punishment for their crimes, according to various media outlets....
