NYC Candidate Aide Gets 10 Months For Finance Scheme

Law360, New York (October 10, 2013, 6:52 PM EDT) -- A former treasurer for one-time New York City mayoral hopeful John Liu was sentenced Thursday to 10 months in prison for involvement in a scheme to funnel illegal donations to the candidate's campaign.

Jia “Jenny” Hou, 27, was also ordered to serve three years probation, while Xu Wing “Oliver” Pan, a Liu fundraiser, received a four-month prison sentence and the same term of probation.
