Becton Seeks New Trial, Nix Of $114M Antitrust Verdict

Law360, Washington (October 15, 2013, 2:44 PM EDT) -- Becton Dickinson & Co. urged a Texas federal judge Friday to nix a $113.5 million damages verdict in favor of longtime patent litigation rival Retractable Technologies Inc. and send the syringe market monopolization case back to a jury for a new trial, claiming the company couldn't prove Becton Dickinson's alleged actions led to decreased competition.
