FilmOn In Hot Water For Breaching Ban On Network Streaming

Law360, Los Angeles (October 15, 2013, 7:09 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday ordered online television streamer FilmOn X LLC to explain why it shouldn't be held in contempt of court for defying an injunction forbidding it from streaming the shows of the nation's largest broadcasters.

U.S. District Judge Rosemary M. Collyer denied FilmOn's Oct. 11 request to modify the injunction to allow it to stream in Boston, then ordered the streamer to show cause in writing why it shouldn't be held in contempt for having already defied the order.
