$100M Raytheon Suit Is Federal Security Concern, ATK Says

Law360, New York (October 16, 2013, 2:27 PM EDT) -- Raytheon Co.'s $100 million suit accusing Alliant Techsystems Inc. of failing to fulfill five subcontracts for rocket motors should not be remanded to state court, ATK told an Arizona federal judge Tuesday, saying the suit implicates national security concerns.

Opposing Raytheon's September attempt to move it's breach of contract suit back to state court where it was originally filed, ATK said federal law governs subcontract disputes awarded under a prime government contract connected with national security.
