Cooperator In PGR Insider Trading Probe Gets Probation

Law360, New York (October 17, 2013, 9:03 PM EDT) -- A former analyst for Primary Global Research LLC was sentenced to probation Thursday for passing insider information to hedge funds, dodging a prison term by cooperating with prosecutors’ broader crackdown on insider trading.

U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff ordered Bob Nguyen, who pleaded guilty in January 2011 to two insider trading-related charges, to serve two years of supervised release and forfeit $30,000.
