Law360, Los Angeles (October 18, 2013, 10:09 PM EDT) -- A Louisiana federal judge ended two weeks of courtroom debate over the quantity of oil spilled into the Gulf of Mexico as a result of the April 2010 explosion of BP PLC’s Deepwater Horizon rig, making the next step in the case the judge's determination of BP's penalties.
