NY Bill Would Extend Anti-Bias Protections To Interns

Law360, New York (October 21, 2013, 4:58 PM EDT) -- New York state legislators introduced a bill last week extending the protections of anti-discrimination laws to interns, days after a New York federal judge ruled that a college student could not sue the media company where she interned over alleged sexual harassment because a New York City civil rights law didn't apply to workers in unpaid roles.
