Ford Seeks To Ax Firm's Suit Over Taurus Navigation System

Law360, San Francisco (October 21, 2013, 5:05 PM EDT) -- Ford Motor Co. urged a California federal judge Monday to toss a law firm's claims that Ford should recall thousands of 2013 Tauruses for failing to include voice-activated navigation systems, arguing that the firm didn't purchase the optional system in its model and therefore doesn't have a plausible claim.

East Bay Law's complaint fails to show that the plaintiff purchased the system, which is clearly marked on the Taurus brochure as an optional feature that must be specifically selected and paid for separately, argued Ford's attorney,...
