ITC Opens More Investigations Of Electrical Steel Imports

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 4:03 PM EDT) -- For the second time in less than a month, the U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday opened investigations to examine whether the U.S. steel industry is being harmed by imports of electrical steel from Asia and Europe that have allegedly been dumped at unfairly low prices and illegally subsidized by foreign governments.

The focus of the latest round of probes is nonoriented electrical steel, or NOES, which AK Steel Corp. last month alleged was being dumped on the U.S. market by China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Sweden...
