Maryland Gaming To Probe Embattled Caesars

Law360, New York (October 22, 2013, 6:48 PM EDT) -- On the heels of Caesars Entertainment Corp. coming under fire from federal and Massachusetts agencies over alleged violations of anti-money laundering policies and other alleged improprieties, Maryland's gambling watchdog said Tuesday that it will be conducting its own investigations into the claims.

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency acknowledged that Caesars had tipped it off last week to an on-going federal inquiry involving one of Caesar's Las Vegas subsidiaries and that it was aware the company broke off licensing bid plans in Massachusetts due to...
