Pogust Braslow Faces $1M Fee Suit Over Black Farmers Case

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 2:31 PM EDT) -- McEachin & Gee LLP sued Pogust Braslow & Millrood LLC in Pennsylvania federal court on Wednesday seeking more than $1 million in attorneys’ fees related to a settlement in a class action brought by black farmers in a discrimination case against the U.S. government.

The Virginia-based law firm alleges that Pogust breached its contract with McEachin by failing to pay it a 10 percent fee of about $1.1 million after McEachin referred nearly 6,000 class action claimants to the Pennsylvania-based firm. The $10.9 million fee payment...
