Texas High Court Asked To Nix Hurricane Ike Class Action

Law360, Houston (October 23, 2013, 7:19 PM EDT) -- A Travelers Cos. Inc. subsidiary asked the Texas Supreme Court on Monday to axe a putative class action over Hurricane Ike claims, saying the proposed lead plaintiff settled with the insurer and shouldn’t be allowed to extend the litigation to the class certification stage.
