Sabra Health Care REIT Invests $300M In Texas Hospitals

Law360, New York (October 23, 2013, 3:58 PM EDT) -- Sabra Health Care REIT Inc. has invested $230 million into, and set aside another $66 million for, three Forest Park Medical Center acute care centers in Texas, the company announced Tuesday.

Forest Park is attractive as a growing, physician-run hospital company with hotel-grade comfort for patients, Sabra said. The moves also reduce Sabra's exposure to Medicare and Medicaid as well as to nursing home income streams.
