Tessera's ITC Case Stayed For Re-Examination

Law360, New York (February 26, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- A patent infringement trial against Motorola Inc., Qualcomm Inc. and other technology companies has been stayed pending a re-examination of Tessera Inc. chip-packaging patents.

Administrative Law Judge Theodore Essex on Monday granted the defendants' motion to stay the U.S. International Trade Commission case pending a re-examination by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office of three Tessera patents. The trial was scheduled to begin on Monday.
