Game Controller Charger IP Suit Runs Out Of Juice

Law360, Washington (October 23, 2013, 7:00 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Tuesday nixed Nyko Technologies Inc.'s patent suit against Energizer Holding Inc. and two other companies for selling video game controller chargers that allegedly infringed its product, saying Nyko waited too long to protect its system.

U.S. District Judge Gary Allen Feess granted summary judgment in favor of Energizer, Eveready Battery Co. Inc. and Performance Designed Products LLC after determining that Nyko didn't file its patent application for the docking system for more than a year after it started selling the product....
