NY Appeals Court OKs Class Cert. In Ingersoll-Rand Wage Suit

Law360, New York (October 24, 2013, 7:11 PM EDT) -- A New York appeals court on Thursday affirmed the class certification of a group of former Ingersoll-Rand Co. employees suing the company for allegedly docking pay from their commissions, saying the plaintiffs have all pled a common injury.

A three-judge panel said the plaintiffs have shown that each member of the class shares a common characteristic: They allege the company deprived them of pay by deducting so-called shared general expense from their total compensation.
