"Jews For Jesus" Sues Google Over Trademark

Law360, New York (December 22, 2005, 12:00 AM EST) -- Just days before Christmas, the Christian evangelical group Jews for Jesus Inc. sued Google Inc. in federal court, accusing the search engine powerhouse of trademark infringement in one of its 8 billion web pages.

The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court in New York, accuses Google of violating the group’s trademark by allowing a customer to use the “Jews for Jesus” name for an online journal, or weblog (blog).
