NJ Receives $1.5B More In HUD Funds For Sandy Recovery

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 8:08 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced on Monday — the day before Superstorm Sandy’s one-year anniversary  — that New Jersey will receive an additional $1.5 billion to assist communities in their remaining unmet recovery needs.

The money is part of the agency’s second round of recovery funds, totaling $5 billion, which was doled out to four other states and New York City on Monday through HUD’s Community Development Block Grant Program.
