Judge Trims Suit Over Aegis’ Alleged Medicare Overbilling

Law360, New York (October 29, 2013, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A federal judge on Tuesday dismissed some claims in a government suit alleging that Aegis Therapies Inc. and several related rehabilitation therapy companies overbilled Medicare, saying the government claims were not strong enough.

U.S. District Judge Lisa G. Wood said the government did not make specific enough claims against several Aegis-related companies accused of participating with it in a scheme to overbill for therapy services.
