Ferry Service Pays $1M To Settle Claims Over NYC Crash

Law360, Los Angeles (October 30, 2013, 6:13 PM EDT) -- A ferry service has paid roughly $1 million to settle personal injury claims in New Jersey federal court and outside court after one of its high-speed commuter ferries crashed in January while docking in lower Manhattan, a Seastreak LLC lawyer told Law360 on Wednesday.

Seastreak announced in Monday court filings that it recently settled with four passengers who allegedly sustained injuries in the crash, which occurred near Wall Street and injured 57 of the 320 passengers onboard.
