Do-Not-Track Group Revamps Strategy, But Doubts Remain

Law360, New York (October 31, 2013, 5:40 PM EDT) -- The heads of a working group struggling to craft an online tracking standard confirmed Wednesday that the group would not abandon its efforts, although their proposal for moving forward drew criticism from participants who said the plan would do little to resolve long-standing squabbles.

Since missing a deadline for finalizing a do-not-track standard at the end of July, the World Wide Web Consortium Tracking Protection Working Group has grappled with how — and if — it should move forward.
