Airport Workers Join EEOC Suit Over Muslim Headscarves

Law360, Los Angeles (November 1, 2013, 3:43 PM EDT) -- Female Muslims who cleaned airplane cabins at Denver International Airport on Friday joined a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission discrimination lawsuit accusing a ground services company of not hiring the workers because their faith requires women to wear headscarves.

Jetstream Ground Services Inc.'s vice president allegedly refused to employ the five practicing Muslims after insisting he wouldn't make a religious-accommodation exception to Jetstream's uniform policy, which requires all employees to wear company-issued pants and a cap.
