N.Y. AG's Probe Of College Marketing Has New Targets

Law360, New York (February 29, 2008, 12:00 AM EST) -- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's probe of conflicts of interest in higher education, which has so far resulted in settlements with numerous student loan companies, is reportedly expanding to investigate companies that sell food, textbooks and other products on campus.

Cuomo's investigation will focus on the relationships those companies have with colleges, and whether unethical deals are being made to secure business opportunities at the schools, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
