AIG Sues Aerospace Parts Co. Over $3M Toxic Cleanup

Law360, Los Angeles (November 5, 2013, 6:58 PM EST) -- AIG Specialty Insurance Co. on Friday accused a Kansas aerospace parts finisher of contaminating a site owned by an aerospace parts manufacturer that AIG insures, saying it is owed at least $2.8 million for cleaning up the toxic mess.

In a suit filed in Kansas federal court, AIG says it insures aerospace parts manufacturer 3P Processing Inc., which is plagued by contaminated groundwater underneath its facility. AIG claims the polluted water is due to a solvent spill at a nearby manufacturer, run by Batson Properties LP...
