Dyncorp, KBR Lose Bid To Stall $1B Iraq Services Contract

Law360, Los Angeles (November 5, 2013, 8:05 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Tuesday backed the U.S. Department of State's decision to continue work on a $1 billion contract for embassy support services in Iraq despite ongoing protests by Dyncorp International LLC and KBR Services Inc.

Dyncorp and KBR sued the State Department on Sept. 16, asking the U.S. Court of Federal Claims to block the agency from moving ahead with a contract awarded to PAE Government Services Inc. in July. They say the State Department should have honored the automatic stay that was triggered...
