Referendum Muddles Miami Beach Convention Center Plans

Law360, Miami (November 6, 2013, 7:35 PM EST) -- A city charter amendment passed by Miami Beach voters Tuesday appears to add new obstacles to redeveloping the city's convention center — most notably by increasing the needed public approval to a supermajority — but its ultimate impact on the potential billion-dollar project remains to be determined in the coming months.
