Flaxseed Product Maker Sued Over 'All Natural' Claims

Law360, Chicago (November 7, 2013, 9:11 PM EST) -- Flax USA Inc., a maker of food products derived from flaxseeds, was hit with a class action Tuesday in California federal court claiming the company falsely labels its dairy substitute beverages as “all natural.”

North Dakota-based Flax USA’s trademarked “Flaxmilk” products contain a variety of artificial or synthetic ingredients, despite having the words “all natural” prominently displayed on their packaging, according to a suit lodged by Garo Madenlian.
