Miami Beach's W Hotel Wins $140M Refi From Wells Fargo

By Natalie Rodriguez (November 7, 2013, 1:42 PM EST) -- The W South Beach Hotel, which recently settled a foreclosure suit lobbed at it in Florida court, has scored a $140 million refinancing package from Wells Fargo Bank NA, according to Miami-Dade County documents filed Tuesday.

Wells Fargo has granted hotel owner 2201 Collins Fee LLC — a unit of RFR Holding LLC and Sutton East Corp. — a new promissory note and was assigned the hotel's existing loan notes, according to county documents. The deal comes just more than a week after Collins Fee negotiated the voluntary dismissal of a foreclosure and lis pendens filed by Hypo Real Estate Capital...
