Honest Tea Label Doesn't Live Up To Name, Suit Says

Law360, New York (November 8, 2013, 1:50 PM EST) -- Honest Tea Inc. was hit Wednesday with a proposed class action accusing it of dishonestly marketing its honey green tea as a source of antioxidant flavonoids, when in fact the tea does not contain the amount of antioxidants touted on the label.

Plaintiff Sarah A. Salazar said in her complaint that she purchased numerous bottles of honey green tea, which did not contain the amount of “antioxidants green tea flavonoids” represented on the label.
