CA Technologies To Pay $11M To Settle Billing Fraud Claims

Law360, Los Angeles (November 12, 2013, 3:52 PM EST) -- CA Technologies Inc. has agreed to pay $11 million to settle whistleblower allegations that it overbilled federal and state government entities for software and maintenance plans, according to settlement documents unsealed Tuesday.

The Islandia, N.Y.-based software company will shell out $11 million to the federal government, Washington, D.C., and seven states in order to settle a qui tam suit filed by former CA employee Ann-Marie Shaw. CA did not admit any wrongdoing under the settlement.
