Emergent NJ Film Tax Credit Bill Faces Foe In Christie

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 7:36 PM EST) -- A New Jersey Senate committee advanced a tax incentive bill Thursday that would revive a program offering tax credits for film productions, setting the stage for a battle with Gov. Chris Christie, who has vetoed similar legislation in the past.

The Senate's Economic Growth Committee advanced S-3030, the New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act II of 2013, which would revive and expand the Garden State Film and Digital Media Jobs Act, which first passed in 2005, but was suspended by Christie in 2010.
