Wal-Mart Contractor Agrees To Pay $4.7M To Settle OT Case

Law360, Los Angeles (November 13, 2013, 10:28 PM EST) -- Warehouse operator and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. contractor Schneider Logistics Transloading & Distribution Inc. has agreed to pay $4.7 million to settle a putative class action alleging wage-and-hour violations at several California warehouses, according to settlement papers made public Wednesday.

Plaintiffs' counsel on Wednesday filed a motion in California federal court seeking preliminary approval of the settlement agreement. If approved, the deal will resolve allegations of various wage-and-hour infractions against Schneider, which operates warehouses for Walmart in Eastvale, Calif.
