Cuomo OKs Hudson River Park Air Rights Sales

Law360, New York (November 14, 2013, 5:33 PM EST) -- New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill late Wednesday that will allow the transfer and sale of air rights at Hudson River Park for development about a block to the east near the newly rezoned Hudson Square district.

Cuomo signed the controversial measure, passed earlier this year by the state Legislature, just hours after opponents issued a letter asking him to consider a veto, citing the dangers of developing so close to the water after a storm like Hurricane Sandy.
